About Alaska HEMPFEST®

Alaska HEMPFEST® is a 100% Alaskan owned company, officially licensed with Seattle HEMPFEST®. Our mission is to squash the stigma around cannabis use & promote industrial hemp development in Alaska.

We believe free speech is essential to prosperity and positive social change in the Last Frontier.  We raise awareness about legalization options for industrial hemp (which is still not legal in Alaska and remains a Federal Schedule 1 Controlled Substance).

What sets us apart from other related events in Alaska is authenticity, local flavor, innovative products, fresh ideas, and a message of hope for forward-thinking development

Our learning systems entertain and educate the public on issues such as

  • food security

  • sustainability

  • economic renewal

  • climate change

  • health and wellness

We speak to a world market of cannabis and hemp supporters who want to experience the best in cutting edge products and tech, as well as support businesses that support hemp/cannabis legalization. We provide space for companies to engage consumers (ranging in age from 0 to 105) in a unique and gratifying retail experience, and influence their future buying decisions. Brand loyalty is created through positive experiences, and our festival is a great place to grow those life-long relationships.

Alaska HEMPFEST® is also a great place for government agencies, politicians and political organizations to reach out to voters on important issues. Arthur Keys, Director of Agriculture for the State of Alaska, was our keynote speaker in 2017. It is the goal of every HEMPFEST® to work with government and law enforcement to find solutions.

Our first festival was in the Copper River Valley at Tonsina River Lodge in June 2016. It was a small three day event well attended by the locals. Our June 2017 festival was in Meadow Lakes at the Flag Day Festival Campground, and featured over 30 musical performers. Both events were miraculous achievements. We sincerely hope you’ll come and join the fun!
